Stop thinking you need the answers, you don’t.
You are still alive and things still happen. There is an addiction to routine, to stability, to being what other people think you are. There is you. Change happens slowly over time. There is no event that will change you. Don’t fall for the hype. There is growth over time. On the flip side there is death over time. If you are not going to change. And what I mean is that you will always choose the easy way, or you will always choose the hard way, or you will always find someone to follow, or you will always blaze a new path, or dream of a thousand paths, then don’t worry, just take the next step for you.
If you are a planner, then take the next step in the plan. If you aren’t, then take a step and see what happens. If you are a dreamer, then spread yourself out and take all the paths, the one you really want to take will dominate the others. Do something now. Don’t wait. Death lives in the moments of waiting. Better to live a failure as you try, than live in the shadow of death watching life go by.
From the sticky note on my file cabinet: You are not what you do, keep your identity low, be flexible.
