Day 1) this is the starting of a new habit or routine.

Day 2) Still at the beginning.

Fast forward, Day 30) still at the beginning of a new habit or routine.

Fast forward again, Day 60) still at the beginning of a new habit or routine.

Fast forward once more, Day 90) Now it is a habit and becoming a part of the routine.

Only after 90 days or 12 weeks of action can you say it is something you do. That is the price of change, it is slow, it is deliberate, it is doing it only because you said you would.

Don’t wait for the new year to start working on actions that will get you to live the life you want to live (goals). Please do not set goals that you do not want to live out. If you have a goal to start a business and you hate being *responsible, you might not want to start a business. If you want to be an artist you have to make art, a lot of art. If you want to be healthy, you have to eat healthy, it’s even more important than the exercise.

Whatever goal you have for next year, start it now. You will have over a month in and then it will be January, that will be enough motivation to get you into the third month,  February, (weirdest word; February). If you make it to the end you are on your way. You will have been at it for three months.

If you fail. Fail forward, either it is something you didn’t really want, or you need to change your life. All true goals will require life change, that is their nature.

*Responsible: Making sure things happen, assuming the consequence for others actions, and dealing with problems you didn’t create, but they are yours now.
