Getting What You Want

There are two things to aim for in life: the first, to get what yo want; and after that enjoy it. -Unknown

We have work to do.

The day isn’t over. In fact, it is just beginning.

But we are here on the long journey to get what we want.

We want to live a creative life. We want to enjoy the fruits of our labor. We are going to have to labor. We are going to have to go on a journey. We are going to have to overcome obstacles and push our comfort zones.  We are going to have to take care of ourselves, with plenty of sleep and exercise. We are going to have to prepare for the road ahead even if we already started. We don’t want to live a normal life. We want to live our life. Whatever that means.

In the end, we want to be satisfied with what we have accomplished. (And whatever spoils of war that come with it.)  What you must not do is fool yourself into believing that just because you made it to the end of this journey that you are done living. Until our last breath we need to focus on doing those things we truly want to do. So, be grateful now, and enjoy the adventure you have chosen.

(Side note: I should be asleep, if this post is missing any key points it is because I said it in my head and didn’t write it down. I promise I will go back and edit it tonight. But to make sure this gets done, you get a rough, rough post. Sorry for the splinters.)

Post read. I didn’t think there was anything to edit. But just more life to get back to living.
