If, Then, Now, Not When

All plans fail if action is not taken.

Your supposed deadline, your weekly timeline, your imagined success, are all going to fail if the most you do is put them down on paper. It is that simple. Here is the truth if you know an action will lead to an outcome, then all you have to do is take the action. If painting everyday made you an artist, then you paint everyday. If selling everyday made you a salesman then you sell everyday. If running everyday makes you a runner then you run every day. At the end of the day when you have done the deed. You will know what you are and if you are not satisfied, then wake up and do it better the next day.  We make goals and plans to make sure we are on the right course. But the truth is they are worthless unless we do something about them.  The truth is we need to be doing.

If you waste too much time going back to the drawing board, then don’t go back. Go out and do the first thing, the main thing. I don’t have to tell you what that is, because deep down you know.  Here is the parting word. It’s Monday, you might have no goals. Fine. Work with what you have. Apply your skill and start to look around at who you can help. Look at your routine and change one thing so that you are doing what you want to do.

Get all you can out of what you’ve got.
