What always strikes me about successful businesses is not that they made it, but that they have developed a creative outlook. They are pushing forward into the future and paving a new path. That new path is fraught with problems never before seen. The little round disc, button, thingy that the original iPod had looked good and was useful. Businesses that are at the head of the game have two places to look when problems arrive. The first is the process, does it serve the company’s intention? The Second is the people, do they see things in a new way, or is there a better action they want to take to get things done? If you are truly at the forefront of an industry, there are no books to guide you, there are no paths laid out, there is your company and the customer experience. The customer experience is your guiding light. Every business is in general there to serve a customer. They will react to what you are doing and it is up to you to gather that feedback and use it to get better.
This applies not only to businesses but to your personal life. Taking a fresh look at where you are headed. If you are on a crazy train for new adventures, make sure the process serves your desired outcome. Look to friends and family for help, after all theses are the people you live with.
